Hi! We would like to inform you about a horrible Typhoon called “Haiyan” that hit the Philippines on November 8, 2013, and destroyed many homes and killed many people. Students from PS 8 have written cards of hope for children in the Philippines. Each card will help to raise $1 through Students Rebuild and the Bezos Family Foundation. Our school has made 102 cards, which translates into $102! All of the money will go to help teachers, children and schools affected by the Typhoon. We hope that the children of the Philippines will soon recover. Thank you PS 8 for taking time to make all of these beautiful cards and letters. You have warmed the hearts of the children in the Philippines.
