New Kindergarten – 5th Grade Students
New students who live in PS8’s zoned neighborhood and will be in Kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2019-2020 school year should email our Parent Coordinator, Eileen Carrier. She can also be reached at 718-834-6740 X 1061. Documentation of the student’s age and proof of residence are required at registration. View the registration checklist here.
As a magnet school, enrollment is not limited to traditional zoning constraints; however, seats are given to zoned students first. All children living outside the zone, including siblings of current non-zoned students, must fill out a magnet application form, available in the main office. Decisions about magnet school placement are made by lottery when spaces are available. Given the current enrollment, it has been rare that any magnet seats have been allotted the past few years.

New Middle School Students
NOTE: Starting in 2019-2020, MS 8 will be MS 915 (13K915 on the middle school application) — same location, same students and same teachers, but separate from lower school. If you were matched with MS 915 for the 2019-2020 school year, you can register here to be part of incoming MS 915 6th Grade family Facebook and Google groups.
