The whole kindergarten went on a field trip to Long Island University to the Kumble Theater to watch The Paper Bag Players presents: Stand Up And Cheer, We’re 60 This Year!

For Ms. Kozeta’s class it was the first time most of the kids rode on a school bus, so they were really enthusiastic about that experience. Some of the kids were excited that the bus was passing their house and some thought we were going into Manhattan. One of the moms taught the kids to play a road trip game that the kids were really getting into.

During the show the kids were very engaged. It was very interactive show full of lively music and dance, audience participation, larger-than-life characters, singalong songs, hilarious stories, all wrapped in The Paper Bag Players’ signature paper and cardboard costumes and sets. The kindergartners really enjoyed it. When we got back on the bus, some of the kids said they liked it more than choice time! When asked some of the kids said the pirate part best.
