UPD8: Due to a permit issue, the Kindergarten Outing to Empire-Fulton Ferry Lawn in DUMBO has been rescheduled to Friday, September 5!
A little information about back-to-school events for new lower and middle school families:
- Meet Principal Phillips: Thursday, September 4, 6pm. New parents and guardians are invited to join our principal in the lower school auditorium (all new families are invited, though the focus will be on lower school, especially kindergarten).
- Q&A with Team Assimil8 and the PTA Board: Friday, September 5, 8:40am. This is an informal gathering in the lower school cafeteria — hear from current parents, ask questions, and learn how you can get involved.
- NOTE NEW DAY!: Kindergarten Outing to Empire-Fulton Ferry Lawn, DUMBO: Friday, September 5, 11:30am. Meet outside lower school main Hicks Street entrance after half day dismissal.
- Welcome Breakfast for 6th Grade Students: Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5, 7:30am. On the first two days of school, we are inviting our new 6th graders into school starting at 7:30am for a special welcome breakfast. Meet teachers, staff and fellow students over muffins!
- Middle School Welcome Breakfast for 6th Grade Parents and Guardians: Monday, September 8, 8:30am. Meet fellow parents and staff at the middle school!
If you need to buy your school supplies (if you didn’t buy them already through the PTA program), you can see the supply lists that teachers in each grade put together for their students.
We’re excited to see everyone back at school on Thursday — remember the school day at both the lower and middle school begins at 8:20am!
